I often notice that many photographers position a softbox a good distance away from the subject, typically 2-3 meters or more, when taking a full-length portrait. However, if you want beautiful shadows in your large portrait, you need to place the softbox closer to the subject. I position the softbox arm’s length away from the face of the subject, so that one corner of the softbox falls slightly into the frame. It’s important that the light hits the subject at a tangent, rather than directly, to create soft and beautiful shadows on the face.

What do you think is the best source of milking contour light to buy? I’m thinking of buying another Godox AD300pro with the same 85cm softbox or a smaller 65cm one so that it doesn’t get into the frame. Unfortunately, Godox V350s does not work stably, and sometimes it does not work in conjunction with the AD300pro. Как вы думаете, какой источник доя контрового света лучше купить? Friends, this year I want to think about change my Sony A7IV with Sony 7CR in order to assemble a more compact setup together with the Sony FE 85mm f/1.4 GM II lens, according to rumors it will be more compact than the first version of this lens.
