We’ve all been there. We learn about looking up comps and we find a collection of beanie babies in the wild. We search eBay and our jaw drops! $5,000….$8,000…$100,000?! We think we hit the absolute JACKPOT! Sadly, comps on beanie babies are not accurate. They are almost always sold on auction with one bid. I don’t know if it’s sellers trying to inflate the market or scammers or what, but there aren’t any beanie babies that are selling for thousands of dollars. In fact, 99.99999% of beanie babies are essentially worthless and not even worth your time listing, even if you get them for free. There are some with “errors” that people often think are truly valuable, but even those are super common and still not worth much. Beanie babies were produced by the MILLIONS and the market is flooded with them. Do yourself a favor and avoid these at all costs. You’ll struggle to sell them for even a dollar. Disagree?
